Officers and Board for the HBCU Mid-Atlantic PSM Alliance
The Alliance Advisory Board has seven (7) members. The Alliance officers are as follows:
Dr. Beverly Karplus Hartline, Alliance Chair (interim), also Alliance Liaison from The University of The District of Columbia
Dr. Joseph Whittaker, Alliance Vice-Chair, also Alliance Liaison from Morgan State University
Dr. Jennifer Keane-Dawes, Alliance Secretary, also Alliance Liaison from The University of Maryland Eastern Shore
Four of the Alliance Board members are academic and/or PSM-experienced. These individuals have all played very positive roles as individuals in guiding the Alliance effort to this point. These Alliance Board members are:
Dr. Carol Lynch, Director of the PSM Initiative at the Council of Graduate Schools
Dr. Donald Langenberg, Professor and Chancellor Emeritus, University of Maryland System
Dr. Orlando Taylor, Emeritus Vice Provost for Research and Dean of the Graduate School, recently retired from Howard University
Dr. David W. King, Director of the SUNY System PSM Program and Professor at the State University of New York, Oswego
The five (5) employer Alliance Board members will be named soon; they will represent broad diversity in sector, geographic range across the Alliance, STEM-employment opportunities, responsibility & position, and demographic group, informed by the market survey.

Dr. Veronica G. Thomas is the project’s evaluator.
