Jennifer Keane-Dawes

Jennifer Keane-Dawes, Ph.D. is interim Dean of the Graduate School at the UMES, liaison to the Alliance, and a co-PI. She holds a Ph.D. in Intercultural Communication and a master’s degree in Communication Arts from Howard University. Her undergraduate degree in Arts and General Studies is from the University of the West Indies.

A fellow of the Organization of American States and an alumna of Harvard’s Institutional Educational Management Program, Dr. Keane-Dawes has administrative responsibility for UMES’ sixteen graduate programs which are housed in the respective schools. Her sponsored research includes proposals submitted to the National Science Foundation for funds to strengthen the Applied computer Science program and to foundations for enhancing the growth of the Ph.D. program in Organizational Leadership.

Her publications include two books, another in press, as well as hundreds of indigenous literary essays in international newspapers.
