Nicassia Williams

Ms. Nicassia Williams is Director of the Actuarial Science Program and Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and coordinator of the PSM program being planned at Morgan State.

She has an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Master’s degree in Mathematics with a specialization in Computation Finance. At Morgan, she is responsible for developing several actuarial science and financial mathematics courses, as well as developing the new programs in actuarial science, mathematics with a concentration in actuarial science, joint program in Actuarial Science-Economics, Mathematics-Economics as well as the minor in actuarial science.

She has taught project-based courses in actuarial science as well as exam preparation courses in this discipline. Williams is completing her doctorate in Mathematics Education with a specialization in Curriculum Instruction and Assessment. Her research focuses on developing successful math-intensive interdisciplinary professional programs for
undergraduates.
