Veronica G. Thomas

Dr. Veronica G. Thomas will serve as the project’s evaluator. She is a Professor in the Department of Human Development and Psychoeducational Studies at Howard University.

Dr. Thomas teaches graduates courses in evaluation theory and evaluation methodology. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the American Evaluation Association.

She has served as an evaluation consultant or trainer for various projects/ organizations, including the Smithsonian Institution Folklife Festival (NASA’s Family Life Activities), District of Columbia Government’s Justice Grant Administration, National Council on Community and Education Partnerships (NCCEP), CGS’ Preparing Future Faculty (PFF) Program, Minority Graduate Education Program, Howard University’s Research Centers in Minority Institutions (RCMI) Program, and Howard University’s Medical School Curriculum.

Dr. Thomas has authored work in scholarly venues such as New Directions for Evaluation, Journal of Black Psychology, Family Relations, Adolescence, Educational Leadership, Journal of Adult Development, Review of Research in Education, Journal of Negro Education, Sex Roles, Journal of Social Psychology, Women and Health, and the Journal of the National Medical Association.

Dr. Thomas is a member of several professional societies including the American Evaluation Association, American Psychological Association, and the American Educational Research Association.
